Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has directed the extension of sales of subsidized rice to pensioners in the state.
This was made known by the Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Kehinde Onasanya Onasanya, who monitored the sales of discounted rice to members of the Local Government Pensioners Association of Nigeria (LOGPAN), at its secretariat in Ita Oshin, Abeokuta, the state capital, on Monday.
He said the move was taken as the economic hardship spared nobody.
He urged them to take advantage of the exercise and buy according to their levels while in service.
He said the Governor ordered bringing the rice to the doorsteps of the pensioners so as to eliminate any difficulty they may likely face in purchasing the commodity.
