Obinna Iyiegbu, CEO of Cubana Group has unveiled a tricycle Assembly plant in Lagos.
Obinna, popularly known as Obi Cubana, alongside other dignitaries, including top government officials and business leaders graced the unveiling of the plant, which attracted commendations from far and near.
Nigerians expressed optimism that the plant will help Nigeria become more self-reliant, attract more investments opportunities and create jobs for the teeming youths.
However, there is no commendation without criticism, some set of Nigerians questioned the siting of the plant in Lagos as opposed to the Eastern part of Nigeria where he hailed.
The business mogul replied, saying “business decisions aren’t driven by emotions, but by strategy and what works.
“If setting up the plant in Ikorodu, Lagos will make it thrive and create jobs, then why not? Maybe with time, the business can expand to other locations, based on proven success and consolidation.
“Don’t let ethnicity or the fear of what people will say dictate your business decisions. Make informed, strategic choices with the big picture in mind. Remember, when your business fails, opinions won’t save it.”
