The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reiterated its claim that petrol from Dangote Refinery is sold to them at ₦898 per litre.
This statement was reaffirmed by NNPCL spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, on Sunday.
The clarification follows a dispute with the Dangote Group, which had earlier denied the claim, stating that the refinery sold petrol to NNPCL at a different price.
Despite the Dangote Group’s rebuttal, Soneye maintained NNPCL’s position, asserting, “We stand by our earlier claim that Dangote Refinery Petrol is sold to us at ₦898 per liter. We have documents to back this point.”
The disagreement emerged after the Dangote Refinery began its petrol distribution, with NNPCL confirming that 70 of its trucks had already loaded petrol from the refinery on Sunday.
