Across social media, particularly on Twitter, Nigerians from various regions reported sudden and widespread blackouts, tagging the relevant authorities in search of answers.
Many are calling on the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) and other power officials to clarify the cause of the disruption and provide updates on restoration efforts.
This incident has intensified public scrutiny over the stability of the national grid and the resilience of the power sector.
If it turns out true, it’ll mark the 12th time Nigerians have experienced the collapse of the Grid in 2024.
