Nigerian Customs Service announces Revenue Achievement

Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced that it has surpassed its 2024 revenue target of ₦5.7 trillion, collecting over ₦5.9 trillion as of November 12, 2024.

This achievement was revealed by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, during the 2024 CGC Conference in Abuja.

Adeniyi attributed this success to enhanced stakeholder collaboration, improved processes, and modernized systems.

The NCS has also made significant seizures of prohibited items valued at over ₦28 billion in duty-paid terms.

This milestone demonstrates the effectiveness of the NCS’s strategy in revenue collection and trade facilitation, and it is projected to exceed the annual target by nearly 10%.
