The Naira on Friday appreciated to ₦1,245 per dollar in the parallel market, from ₦1,250 per dollar the previous day. Also, the Naira gained in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM) to ₦1,251.05 per dollar as opposed to ₦1255.07 the previous day, according to data from the FMDQ.
The market intraday trading peaked at ₦1,281 per dollar and recorded an intraday low of ₦1,220 per dollar resulting in a ₦61 margin.
The volume of dollars traded in the market experienced a 78.6 percent to $248.27 million from $138.99 million traded on Thursday.
As a result, the margin between the parallel market and NAFEM rates widened to ₦6.05 per dollar from ₦5.07 per dollar on Thursday.
