The naira saw further appreciation against the dollar at the foreign exchange market, closing the week on a positive note.
According to FMDQ data, the naira strengthened to ₦1631.21 per dollar on Friday, compared to ₦1659.26 on Thursday, marking a ₦28.05 gain.
At the parallel market, the naira also gained ₦10, trading at ₦1670 on Friday from ₦1680 the previous day.
This improvement occurred despite a decline in foreign exchange transaction turnover, which dropped from $450.39 million on Thursday to $238.36 million on Friday.
