The naira improved to 1,339.33/$ at the end of trading on the official platform on Monday, rising by 9.68% compared to Friday’s rate of ₦1,482.81/$.
According to data from FMDQ, which oversees the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market, the daily trading volume decreased to $180.80m from $556.25m on Friday, showing a 67.50% drop.
On the official market, the naira was exchanged at a highest point of ₦1,501 and a lowest point of ₦1,310 against the dollar on Monday.
On the parallel market, the naira was traded at ₦1,520, showing a decrease of 1.32% from the ₦1,500 rate on Friday.
