MRS filling station, a partner of Dangote Refinery, has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by ₦10.
This adjustment follows Dangote Refinery’s decision to lower its ex-depot fuel price, signaling relief for consumers amid fluctuating energy costs.
Key Details:
- New Price: The petrol price at MRS filling stations has dropped to ₦940 per liter, down from ₦950 per liter. This change was observed at locations such as Kubwa Expressway and Lugbe Airport Road.
- Dangote Refinery’s Role: The refinery reduced its ex-depot price by ₦15, bringing it to ₦865 per liter. This move aligns with the Nigerian government’s commitment to the naira-for-crude sale deal, which aims to stabilize fuel prices.
- Market Impact: Other fuel marketers, including NIPCO, have also adjusted their prices to match MRS’s rates. However, NNPCL retail outlets continue to sell petrol at ₦950 per liter.
