Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo State, inaugurated 38.4 KM feeder roads in the capital of the state, Ibadan, on Thursday.
He reaffirmed his commitment to expanding the economy of the state through road infrastructure and interconnectivity of rural and city centres.
Among the roads inaugurated are; 8.5 kilometres dualised Mile 110 Ring Road Challenge, 3.8 kilometres dualised Iyaganku quarters Ring Road and 10.8 kilometres Agodi Gate – Molete Road.
Others are the 3.5 kilometers Oke Adu – Orita Aperin Road, 1.4 kilometres Idi Arere -Molete Road, 2.15 kilometres Oke Ado – Ring Road and 5.4 kilometres General Gas – Dizzengolf Road.
Speaking at the inauguration, Makinde disclosed that solar lights would be installed on all the inaugurated roads, assuring the people that his administration would rehabilitate all feeder roads across the state.
The governor announced that the second phase of the rehabilitation projects would accommodate Ogbomoso, Iseyin and other towns across the state.
He commended the three contractors handling the projects – KOPEK Construction Company, Craneburg Construction Company and RATCON Construction Company – for their timely completion and quality job delivery.
