Lagos Blue Rail Line up in flames

A fire broke out on a section of the Lagos Blue Line track near the NEPA Station opposite Eko Bridge in the Apogbon area, as confirmed by Gboyega Akosile, spokesperson for Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

According to Akosile’s post on X.com (@gboyegakosile), the fire occurred at 4:12 p.m. on Saturday.

“Thankfully, there were no casualties, and no train was operating on the line during the incident. Emergency teams and first responders swiftly contained the fire,” he wrote.

Akosile assured residents that the area is safe, adding that @Lamataonline would provide further updates on train services.
