Ahmed Usman Ododo, Governor of Kogi State, has unveiled the Community Revolving Fund (CRF) loan scheme for farmers groups in the State to access $25,000 each.
In his speech at the launch on Wednesday at the Government House in Lokoja, the state capital, Ododo expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the project and stressed his government’s dedication to farming progress.
The CRF loan is provided through the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes project, in partnership with the World Bank.
This program aims to tackle climate change issues and bolster community farming efforts.
The CRF loan distribution focuses on women, who make up 70% of the recipients.
He encouraged the ACReSAL CRF beneficiaries to use the loan wisely, emphasizing that it is intended to aid their farming activities and enhance their quality of life.
Ododo assured that the loan would enhance farming practices in the target areas, resulting in greater food production and security.
