King Salman of Saudi Arabia shares foodstuffs In Kano

Highly Reverred King Salman ibn AbdulAziz of Saudi Arabia has distributed food items as Ramadan relief materials to more than 2,000 households in Kano through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre.

The beneficiaries consists mostly of People with Disabilities (PWDs) spread across eight local government areas of the state.

In a statement by Abdulrahman ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Zaben, the team leader of the foundation, the yearly programme targeted at providing support for family members and the less privileged in society during the Islamic month of Ramadan to alleviate the hardships and suffering being experienced by people.

He added that the programme is implemented in Nigeria by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).

25kg bags of beans, 25kg bags of rice, and 4kg of Masavita among others are among the foodstuffs being shared to the beneficiaries.

Speaking at the event, Kano State Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, lauded the centre for remembering the people of Kano in the month of Ramadan.

Also at the event was the Director, Special Duties of NEMA, Fatima Kashim, who represented the director general of the agency, Zubaida Umar. She appreciated the centre for reaching out to those in need of intervention.

The deputy governor, DG NEMA and the representative of the King Salman Humanitarian Relief Center tasked the beneficiaries to make judicious of the items to bring relief and happiness to their families.
