Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has moved to dispel the notion that his administration is spending ₦6 billion on the Ramadan feeding programme in the state.
In the early hours of today, via his official X handle, he dismissed the reports as rumour, saying the sum of ₦1,197,700,000 was budgeted for the programme and not ₦6bn.
“Over the past few days, I’ve observed heightened media speculations about our government purportedly budgeting the sum of six billion naira for the Ramadan Feeding Program.”
“I counsel the media to ensure that they get their figures regarding our projects from the proper sources without giving credence to speculative figures,” he wrote.
