The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap, has issued a warning to Nigerians about fake recruitment activities being carried out by fraudsters, clarifying that the NIS is not currently recruiting.
In a statement released on Wednesday by NIS spokesman DCI Kenneth Udo, the service emphasized that it is working with authorities to apprehend those responsible for these scams. Nandap urged the public to be cautious and avoid falling victim to these fraudulent schemes.
The statement also advised anyone receiving unsolicited recruitment messages or being approached by individuals claiming to represent the NIS to report such cases to the service through the provided contact numbers: 09121900655, 09121556359, 09121477092.
The NIS emphasized its commitment to integrity and professionalism, assuring that any recruitment exercises will be transparent and announced via the official NIS website, government channels, and recognized national newspapers.
