The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has confirmed that its official website has been hacked by unknown cybercriminals.
In a statement released on its official social media account, the bureau urged the public to disregard any information or reports attributed to it from unofficial sources until the website is fully restored.
The NBS assured citizens that its technical team is working diligently to resolve the issue and restore the website to normal operations.
The compromised website currently displays a “Page Hacked” message, and attempts to access it result in an “Internal Server Error.”
