Fuel Price Hike: NNPCL owes IPMAN ₦15bn

NNPC

Abubakar Garima, the National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), revealed that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) owes the association nearly ₦15 billion.

Garima made this disclosure during an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Thursday. When asked about the outstanding amount, Garima stated, “Roughly now, they are owing us getting to ₦15 billion.”

This revelation follows NNPCL’s recent increase in the pump price of Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, to ₦1,030 per litre, as observed at some NNPCL stations in Abuja on Wednesday.

The hike has sparked widespread criticism from Nigerians.
