Electricity customers without meters hit 55.61%

The number of electricity customers in Nigeria without meters is currently at 7,319,846 million.

This was contained in the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission’s latest industrial data.

13,162,572 registered consumers gets supplied with electricity from the national grid, and only 5,842,726 electricity customers are metered.

The data revealed Nigeria’s overall metering rate of electricity customers is at 44.39 percent, while 55.61 percent of others get their bills through estimation from the 11 power distribution companies nationwide.
