The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has urged Nigerians to abstain from corrupt activities in 2025 and remain steadfast in their fight against corruption.
EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, emphasized that the nation’s progress and development hinge on collective efforts to combat economic and financial crimes.
In his New Year message, Olukoyede highlighted that rejecting corruption is crucial to improving the quality of life for all Nigerians and advancing the economy. He called on citizens to seize the opportunities the New Year brings to recommit to the values of transparency, accountability, and integrity.
“We can achieve the progress and development we desire for our nation by supporting anti-corruption initiatives. The New Year presents fresh opportunities to recommit to the ideals of transparency, accountability, and probity. Our dedication to integrity and accountable conduct is essential for driving the commanding heights of the economy and improving our lives,” he stated.
Olukoyede assured Nigerians that the EFCC aims to surpass its 2024 achievements and that its officers will remain relentless in their pursuit of justice.
“Our work is more than a vocation; it is a patriotic calling. We recognize this and will always offer our best to move the nation forward. 2025 will be another year of dismantling corruption. Our focus is set, and our commitment is total,” he added.
