Dangote Refinery is set to commence crude oil production amid ongoing feedstock challenges, according to S&P Global Commodity Insights.
Production will begin at two upstream projects located in the Niger Delta, specifically in Oil Mining Leases 71 and 72, with an initial output of 20,000 barrels per day (b/d). This volume is expected to increase further in the first quarter of 2025.
The development marks a significant step for the Nigerian oil firm as it expands its operations, despite difficulties in securing adequate feedstock.
