The Dangote Refinery has resumed importing crude oil from the United States after a three-month break.
The refinery purchased around two million barrels of WTI Midland crude from Chevron Corp., with the shipment expected to arrive at the 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) petrochemical plant in Lagos next month.
This move comes after the refinery had focused on domestic supply for a while.
The decision to resume imports may be due to challenges in sourcing enough crude oil from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
