The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has intercepted a significant cache of arms and ammunition smuggled into the country through Lagos.
The Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, addressed journalists at the Federal Operation Unit (FOU) Zone “A” in Ikeja, Lagos, revealing the disturbing discovery.
Although the exact value of the seized arms and ammunition has not been disclosed, the interception highlights the ongoing challenges of smuggling and illegal arms trade in the region.
