The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, has announced that corps members will begin receiving a monthly allowance of ₦77,000 starting in February 2025.
This new allowance has been captured in the 2025 Federal Government’s budget. Ahmed announced while addressing the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II corps members in Katsina.
Ahmed emphasized that the increase from the previous ₦33,000 allowance was approved by the federal government and encouraged corps members to show appreciation by being diligent during their service year.
He also assured corps members of their safety, stating that they would not be deployed to areas with security threats.
