Controversial social media personality, Martin Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has responded to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) invitation after he accused some of its personnel of accepting bribes.
In a video posted on his Instagram on Wednesday, VeryDarkMan criticized the EFCC for not addressing his claims of bribery and for failing to confirm the detention of Bobrisky, the central figure in the controversy.
He stated, “The EFCC should focus on investigating its officers, particularly those involved with Bobrisky, before summoning me.”
He called for the commission to audit the financial activities of its officers before inviting him, insisting that he would only honor the invitation if the case was handled at their Abuja headquarters.
VeryDarkMan further expressed his distrust in the EFCC, suggesting the possibility of being framed, and humorously added that the commission would need to provide him with a first-class flight and five-star accommodation if they wanted him to appear.
This comes after the EFCC invited VeryDarkMan to assist in their investigation, following his release of a call recording where Bobrisky allegedly claimed that EFCC officials accepted a N15 million bribe to drop money laundering charges.
