African countries with the slowest GDP growth

The World Bank’s Africa Pulse 2024 report anticipates mixed growth for African economies, with some thriving and others facing challenges.

Over half of Sub-Saharan African nations have had their growth forecasts cut, affected by issues like political instability, poor infrastructure, and commodity dependency.

Conflicts, such as Sudan’s, are particularly impactful, with Sudan expected to see a 15% economic contraction in 2024 following a 20% decline in 2023. The report includes a list of the ten slowest-growing economies on the continent:
