The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced another power outage in parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The Disco disclosed in a statement on Friday that there will be a power disruption in parts of Abuja on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
According to AEDC, the outage is due to a planned maintenance exercise by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on its 60 megavolt-amperes TR1 (3KUB-TR1) 132/33 kilovolt Kubwa Transmission Substation.
The areas to be affected by the disruption are Dawaki, Duste, Bwari, Kubwa, and Deidei and environs.
This is the second power outage announcement by AEDC this week, following an earlier two-week power outage that started on Monday, January 6, 2025.
