Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, recently presented a ₦1.54 trillion budget for the year 2025 to the state House of Assembly.
The budget, titled “Budget of Hope and Prosperity,” aims to stimulate economic growth, reduce inequality, and improve citizens’ well-being.
Here are some key points:
- Recurrent expenditure: ₦453.56 billion
- Capital expenditure: ₦600.98 billion
- Revenue sources: ₦120.97 billion from the Ogun State Internal Revenue Service and ₦193.85 billion from other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
- Sectoral allocations: Education (₦177.835 billion), Health (₦134.538 billion), Housing and Community Development (₦66.382 billion), among others.
The budget prioritizes infrastructure, healthcare, housing, security, education, youth empowerment, job creation, and agriculture.
