44% of our PMS production can meet Nigerians’ daily requirement

Dangote Refinery

Dangote Refinery’s Vice President of Oil and Gas, Devakumar Edwin, has announced that the refinery’s production capacity can meet 44% of Nigeria’s daily petrol (PMS) demand.

Speaking during a press briefing on Sunday, Edwin highlighted the commencement of petrol lifting as a significant step towards solving Nigeria’s long-standing PMS supply challenges.

He emphasized the refinery’s ability to produce over 54 million liters of PMS daily when processing 650,000 barrels of crude oil. Edwin noted that while 44% of this production will cater to the entire domestic demand, the remaining 56% will be exported, providing the country with a means to generate foreign exchange.

Edwin also revealed that the refinery’s loading facilities, which include 86 gantries, allow the simultaneous loading of 86 trucks, further showcasing the refinery’s vast capacity.
