Tinubu sympathizes with Namibia over President Hage Geingob’s death

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria

Following the loss of His Excellency, President Hage Geingob, President Bola Tinubu has sent his sincere condolences to the Namibian government and people.

The President remarked on Sunday that he joins Nigerians in lamenting the terrible death of a seasoned fighter for democracy through his Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

According to Tinubu, Geingob supported economic, social, and political unity among Africans as well as effective governance.

He pointed out that the tragedy occurred at a time when Africa needed more visionary leaders who could forge stronger cross-border ties and plant the seeds of cooperation in all spheres of human endeavor and who believed in the continent’s shared destiny.

“As Namibia mourns, I assure the Republic that his thoughts and prayers, and indeed those of Nigerians, are with them,” the condolence message partly reads.

President Hage Geingob was diagnosed of cancer and has been under treatment for a while before giving up the ghost in the early hours of today.
