President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, for a three-day official visit.
He makes his first official trip to the Central African country to honour the invitation of President Teodoro Mbasogo.
According to report, the Gulfstream aircraft carrying President Bola Tinubu and his key aides landed at Saint Isabel Airport in Malabo at 02:07 pm local time.
Upon arrival, they were welcomed by the Equatorial Guinean Prime Minister, Mrs. Manuela Roka Botey.
During his visit, President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with the President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Mbasogo, at the Presidential Villa. The two leaders are expected to engage in discussions and oversee the signing of key agreements, particularly focusing on oil and gas cooperation and security issues.
This visit to Equatorial Guinea marks President Bola Tinubu’s seventh visit to an African state and his 22nd international trip since taking office about 15 months ago.
In addition to Equatorial Guinea, President Tinubu has visited several other countries, including Paris, France (three times); London, United Kingdom (twice); Bissau, Guinea-Bissau (twice); Nairobi, Kenya; Porto Novo, Benin Republic; Pretoria, South Africa; Accra, Ghana; New Delhi, India; Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates; New York, United States of America; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (twice); Berlin, Germany; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Dakar, Senegal; and Doha, Qatar.
Accompanying him on this trip are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, and other cabinet members who will participate in the signing of agreements and explore opportunities to enhance bilateral relations between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea.
