The naira, on Friday, traded at ₦1,142.38 to a dollar, representing a 7.16 per cent gain when compared to the previous trading date on Monday, April 8, when it exchanged at ₦1,230.61 to a dollar.
According to data from the official trading platform of the FMDQ Exchange, the Naira gained ₦88.23 at the official market.
The total daily turnover increased to $281.34 million on Friday up from $125.55 million recorded on Monday, according to a NAN report on Saturday.
The recent rebound of the naira, according to Economic experts is the result of both fiscal and monetary policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, which they said has helped in nipping dollar scarcity in the bud, reduced volatility, and decreased reliance on parallel markets.
