Minor opens fire in Finnish school, three injured

At a primary school in Vantaa outside the Finnish capital Helsinki, a child opened fire Tuesday injuring three others.

The “attacker” is now in custody, according to the Police.

“All those involved in the shooting incident are minors. According to the police’s current information, there are three injured,” a police statement said.

“The police arrested the suspect. The investigation of the act continues,” Finnish police added.

Heavily armed police cordoned off the lower secondary school, with around 800 students, in the city of Vantaa, just outside the capital, Helsinki, after receiving a call about a shooting incident at 9.08am.

Police said the wounded were also 12 years old.
