The Nigerian military has reopened Banex Plaza in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja for business after being closed for over a week.
According to Daily Trust, the plaza started operating again around 2:30 PM on Monday.
The market was shut down by military authorities on May 18, following a violent conflict between traders and soldiers.
The trouble began when some thugs allegedly attacked soldiers who had a disagreement with a trader in the plaza.
The trader had reportedly sold a faulty phone to someone who then called in soldiers.
The police tried to resolve the issue, but soldiers later returned to the plaza, forcing traders to close down immediately.
