Dapo Abiodun elected Southern Govenors’ Forum Chair

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun – CON has emerged as the chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum.

Former Governor of the Apex Bank and Governor of Anambra State Chukwuma Soludo will serve as his deputy.

This was announced by Babajide Sanwoolu, the Chairman of the South-West Governors’ Forum and the Governor of Lagos State, after their gathering at the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta, Ogun State’s capital, on Monday.

In his acceptance speech following the meeting, which lasted over five hours, Governor Abiodun promised not to betray the trust placed in him and his deputy by their fellow governors.

The Ogun helmsman replaces the former governor of Ondo State, the late Rotimi Aketedolu, and is expected to give the necessary leadership for the growth and development of the region.
