Gunmen have allegedly abducted several travelers in the Irun Akoko area of Ondo State, along the Irun/Imesi Ekiti Road in Akoko North-West Local Government Area.
The incident reportedly took place on Saturday around 6 p.m.
The victims were traveling in an 18-passenger bus when the criminals ambushed the bus and forcibly took the victims into the bush, heading towards an unknown location.
It was also reported that security forces, including the police, soldiers, and members of the Amotekun Corps from Ondo and Ekiti states, along with local vigilantes, are currently searching the forests in efforts to rescue the victims.
However, the number of victims couldn’t be ascertained at this time.
