The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the results for candidates who took the supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted on June 21 and 22, 2024.
The board’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, announced this in a statement in Abuja on Friday.
According to JAMB, 28,835 applicants who could not provide biometric verification during the main 2024 UTME participated in the supplementary exam.
Additionally, the board noted that students given a second chance to take the exam, who were suspected of examination misconduct during the main UTME, comprised the other category of candidates.
“The exercise, which recorded a huge success nationwide, was marked by heightened security measures put in place by the board to preclude any instance of examination infractions.
“As such, some nefarious characters who had attempted to impersonate bona fide candidates were apprehended and handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation and prosecution,” the board noted.
JAMB emphasized its commitment to preventing candidates from benefiting from any forms of misconduct through the use of advanced technology before, during, and after its examinations.
The board urged candidates to avoid engaging in irregular activities during their exams for their own benefit.
JAMB also warned against soliciting score upgrades from fraudsters or altering result sheets to create fake documents with inflated scores.
Candidates were advised to check their supplementary UTME results by texting UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number they used to obtain their profile codes during registration.
