FG Begins Construction of 20000 Mass Housing Project in Lagos

In Lagos State, the federal government has declared the opening of new hope cities and real estate initiatives, totaling roughly 20,000 cheap mass housing units.

The declaration was made during an assessment of government land suitable for further building under the scheme and ongoing housing projects by Dr. Markus Ogunbiyi, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

Remember that President Bola Tinubu recently unveiled the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Scheme, which intends to give 100,000 Nigerians access to reasonably priced mass good homes across the country.

Ogunbiyi was at Eric Moore with Mrs. Margaret Adejobi, the Federal Controller of Housing for Lagos State, and other important directors to see an ongoing project that had sixty apartments, offering two- and three-bedroom options.

The delegation later assessed land at the Iponri area and Games Village in Eric Moore. The team included Abimbola Asein, the ministry’s Head of PPP Unit.

“Last week we had a groundbreaking in Abuja by Mr President on our Renewed Hope Cities and Estates. So this is a consolidating visit to Lagos to consolidate on that particular achievement.

“The challenge we have in Lagos is land and that is why I am here. We will use all available land to make sure that we have enough housing units under the first phase in Lagos,” Ogunbiyi said.
