A Man who crashed a car into the gates of London’s Buckingham Palace over the weekend has been arrested, the Police have confirmed.
The car “collided with the gates” of the royal residence at 02:30 GMT on Saturday, said by the Police in a released statement.
On suspicion of criminal damage, armed officers arrested the man at the scene and he was taken to the hospital, according to the Police spokesperson.
“No one was injured and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
The palace has been subjected to multiple break-in attempts in the past with the latest involving a 25-year-old man that was arrested after trying to enter the royal stables.
The incident before that occured in May during the build-up to King Charles III’s coronation when a man was arrested for throwing shotgun cartridges into the grounds of Buckingham Palace.
