A train heading to Abuja from Kaduna derailed halfway to the nation’s capital on Sunday.
The train, which had dozens of passengers on board, left Kaduna at approximately 8:05 a.m. but derailed in Jere about an hour later.
Currently, efforts are being made to repair the train, with about three carriages off the tracks.
Security personnel, such as soldiers and police officers, are on site prevent ambush.
