BREAKING: Professor, Woman, Others declared WANTED over killing of Soldiers In Delta

The Nigerian Military has declared eight Individuals wanted in connection with the killing of 17 soldiers and officers in Okuama Community, Ughelli South LGA of Delta State.

Prof. Ekpekpo Arthur; a woman, Mrs Igoli Ebi; Reuben Baru; Akata Malawa David and four other persons were on the list of those linked to the killings by the Military.

This was revealed at an ongoing press briefing at Defence Headquarters, Abuja, by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Major-General Edward Buba who said no bounty was placed on the wanted persons.

Speaking, he urged stakeholders and traditional rulers across the country particularly in the Niger Delta to help the military in getting those who had been declared wanted.

The troops, attached to 181 Amphibious Batallion, Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State were ambushed by some youths and killed on Thursday, 14 March, 2024 while on peace mission to Okuoma Community.

Earlier, the President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio linked the unfortunate act to mercenaries outside Nigeria, who came in to commit this crime.
