BREAKING: Labour walks out as Minimum Wage negotiations stalls again

Negotiations to agree on a new minimum wage for public service workers have stalled, as labor unions once more exited the discussion.

Reports indicate that attendees of the meeting said the government did not propose an amount higher than the ₦60,000 it previously offered when the parties met on Tuesday this week.

Given the recent developments, it appears likely that the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress might start preparing for a strike.

They have scheduled a press conference at 4 PM at their national headquarters.
