Biden pulls out of Presidential Race

President Joe Biden of The United States of America (USA)

President Joe Biden of The United States of America (USA) said he is stepping aside from the presidential race.

This was contained in a letter posted on his X handle.

“It has been the greatest honor of my lift to serve as your president,” he wrote. “And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term.”

Biden said he will speak to the nation later this week “in more detail about my decision.”

During the past week, he vowed to remain in the White House race, despite a growing revolt within the Democratic party.

“The stakes are high, and the choice is clear. Together, we will win,” the 81-year-old said in a statement from the Delaware beach home where he is in Covid isolation.
