The death of Cairo Ojougboh, a former representative for Delta State’s Ika Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives has been announced.
According to reports, the politician died on Wednesday night while watching South Africa vs. Nigeria in the AFCON semifinals.
“Cairo Ojougboh, a medical doctor, died during the Nigeria vs. South Africa match,” a source close to the politician claimed.
“The incident took place when Nigeria was given a penalty.” When SA scored, Dr. Ojougboh reportedly screamed and slumped from a severe heart attack.
A condolence message has been conveyed to the former NDDC Executive Director’s family by President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement released through his media assistant, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu consoled his family and urged them to find strength and hope in God Almighty, who is in charge of all human affairs, as well as in the treasured memories and legacy of the late APC leader, all the while praying for the deceased’s peaceful repose.
