On Monday, Sokoto State Government revealed that it would spend ₦6.7 billion on its Ramadan feeding programme. This was disclosed by Governor Ahmad Aliyu at the flag-off of grain distribution to 18,400 orphans and the less privileged across the state. Nigerian Breweries PLC, Nigeria’s long-standing producer of beer has announced that its various brands are experiencing an increase in prices. This follows the previous increase that was effected less than a month ago. In a statement dated March 8, 2024 and directed towards customers in the Western part of the country, the company announced the new price increase. The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) have announced a 7-day warning strike to demand the payment of four months of withheld salaries of their members.
