Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has instructed the Emirs who were dismissed following the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sanusi II as Emir of Kano to vacate the palaces within 48 hours. Five emirs appointed by former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje are primarily impacted by this directive. Ganduje had divided the Kano emirate into five parts and appointed an emir for each.
