The Kogi State Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal, on Monday, upheld the election of Usman Ododo from the All Progressives Congress as governor. The three-member panel, led by Justice Ado Birnin-Kudu, dismissed the petition filed by Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party, citing a failure to substantially prove the necessary material facts as required by law. The tribunal ruled that, according to Section 135 of the Electoral Act, the petitioner failed to demonstrate that the alleged irregularities were significant enough to impact the entire election.
