The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced to the public and all stakeholders that runway 18L/36R at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport has been reopened for flight operations. They were removed over alleged insubordination, land racketeering, aiding insecurity and conversion of public properties, according to Abubakar Bawa, press secretary to the Governor, who announced the dethronement late Tuesday. Professor Razaq Kalilu, acting Vice Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on Tuesday, announced the introduction of an additional six new degree programmes for the esteemed institution. Erstwhile Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has been accused of approving the printing of ₦684,590,000 at the rate of ₦18.96 billion. The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Ogun State chapter, have announced the suspension of their indefinite strike which began on the 8th of April due to non-payment of 40 per cent peculiar allowance by the Dapo Abiodun-led government. Ola Olukoyede, Chairman of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says, Yahaya Bello, the immediate-past Governor of Kogi state withdrew $720,000, from the state coffees, while in office, to offset his child’s school fees in advance. On Monday, the Kano State High Court, presided over by Justice Usman Na’Abba, reversed earlier rulings supporting the suspension of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
