The National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) said the national grid has been restored. The Transmission Company of Nigeria has said it has begun the restoration of the National Grid. This is coming hours after the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress suspended its indefinite strike. “At about 3.23am, however, TCN commenced grid recovery, using the Shiroro Substation to attempt to feed the transmission lines supplying bulk electricity to the Katampe Transmission Substation,” it said. Two individuals have been confirmed dead after a tanker suspected to be carrying Liquefied Natural Gas (LPG) exploded at the Obiri-Ikwerre flyover along the East-West on the outskirts of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
