Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has tendered its unreserved apology to its customers over the wrongful billing of the new tariff rate which was blamed on a system glitch. President of the Cameroonian Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o, has written to the country’s sports ministry to revoke its appointment of Belgian Marc Brys as the new national team head-coach. “The national federation cannot recognise these appointments made outside any legal and regulatory framework,” Eto’o, who is Cameroon’s all-time leading goalscorer, said Wednesday in a letter made public. Due to inability of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to effect service of the charge on the defendants’, the arraignment of Binance Holdings Limited and two of its executives; Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla, on Thursday, could not proceed. Katsina State Government under the leadership of Governor Dikko Radda has dismissed claims by the Debt Management Office of an increase in the debt profile of the state. In a recently published report by the DMO, it was disclosed that Katsina under Governor Radda, together with some other states of the federation, collected fresh loans to worsen their prevailing debt crises. Sequel to the approval of increase in electricity tariff for customers under the Band A classification by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, on Wednesday, the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) has unveiled the areas under the Band A classification. Tigran Gambaryan, one of the detained Officials of Binance Holdings is in court over allegations of tax evasion. The exchange company and its two executives are set for arraignment before Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Abuja. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested and detained cross-dresser, Idris Okuney, known as Bobrisky in the media space over abuse of naira, spraying of naira notes and currency mutilation. The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Beecroft uncovered an illegal fuel depot at No 3 Silver Bird Road, Ilasun Lekki, on Tuesday, arresting five suspects.
