Erstwhile Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, was granted bail by the Court after meeting the stipulated conditions. He had arrived at the Lagos High Court, Ikeja in the custody of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) operatives but was later released to return home following the court proceedings. U17 World Cup winning coach, Manu Garba, has been appointed Head Coach of the Nigeria U17 national team, Golden Eaglets. Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been handed a six-month jail sentence by the Federal High Court in Lagos, with no possibility of paying a fine.
